In order to meet Fei's sister and her husband at their airport arrival gate on time, we had to start early by taking a 6:15AM flight to Seattle. We got to Seattle on time and picked them up without any problem. Soon after, we took a taxi to Princess Pier and started the embarkation process. There were a lot of people with the same schedule, therefore, it took us almost one hour to get on board Diamond Princess. By 1PM, we already sat in the Horizon Court enjoying our buffet lunch.
Diamond Princess is similar to some other Princess ships and they all have the same names for various facilities, therefore we all felt very comfortable to find our way around on Diamond Princess.
We had an 'anytime dining' schedule and had no issue to find a table for six for most of the night. The food on Princess ships are almost the same as far as the quality goes. We had wonderful 4-5 courses dinner with items such as appetizer, salad, soup, main course and desert. Tony also added pasta on his order to make a 6 courses dinner.
